Play House!

Standard

One of the favorite games  kids play is playing house.  Alexa and her cousin, Inigo, are no exemption.  They used their wild imagination to use the cushion of the sofa to create their “house”.     It was such fun to see them having a ball in their so called “home sweet home”.

PLAY HOUSE:

Journal:  Sofa cushion you and Inigo made as a house! How creative!  Fun to a T!

Materials Used:  Papers-DCWV white CS, Basic Grey, My Little Shoebox, Webster’s Pages, October Afternoon, Nikki Sivils; Chipboard-K&Co, AC; Stickers-K.I. Memories, Colorbok; Buttons-AL; Punchers-Fiskars, EK. others-string, ribbon, Tattered Angels mist.

How about you?  What’s your all-time favorite childhood (children’s) game?

PRIMA Heaven!

Standard

God is so good!  I was again featured in the blog of one of the most famous scrapbooking brands,  Prima, this time  with my September BAP (Build-A-Page) take.

Here’s my take on the sketch:

YOU and I:

Journal (hidden at the back of the picture using Prima packaging):

You and I will go to places, experience exciting things, meet new friends and be friends forever!  I will be with you, Alexa and will hold your hand every step of the way! Love you!     – Gaby –

Materials Used:  All PRIMA except for rub-ons (local), alpha sticker (‘and’), pearl flower center, red flowery lace and MS puncher.

There are so many amazing takes of this sketch.  Take a look here.

Being featured is a feat in itself but luck is on my side this time because I won in the Sept PPP post!  Yahoo!  See the Prima Pick at my sidebar?  That’s how one joins in the fun (aside from making people drool with their new products and colors every month, that is! hahaha)

I’m such a happy camper!  Thanks Prima!

Featured Member @ Webster’s

I was so happy to know that I was a featured member at Webster’s  Inspire Me  site a couple of weeks ago.  Almost missed it I tell you!   Webster’s Pages is one of my favorite scrapbook brands.  They come up with very sweet, romantic, nostalgic and beautiful designs every time!  Love love them!  Thanks for the feature, Webster’s!

This is the most recent page that I uploaded in my Webster’s Inspire Me Page:

SWEET LOVE:

After taking a longer look at it, I changed the base to this:

The shaped Webster’s layout popped out, right?  More dramatic…

Materials Used:  Mostly Webster’s Pages except for BG base paper, MR bird chipboard, local brand rub-ons, pearl brad, fabric leaves  & lace, MM bling & metal round embellishment, Colorbox ink  and  MS puncher.

This is one of my favorite photos of me and my girls.  They’re really my dream come true!

Watch out for more of my Webster’s Pages! *wink*

True XOXO Blog Hop!

Standard

Please do join us in our blog hop.  All you need to do is visit each of our individual blog and post a comment.  You can start visiting XOXO’s blog  hereTo make the hop more exciting,  we,  lipstick chicks, challenged one another to create a layout especially for this.

If you just came from Cheryl’s, she challenged me to create a layout with tattoo on my mind.  She meant thick outlines…with anchors, shallows, barbed wire…get the picture? Really a challlenge huh?!?  Knowing my style, I was really dumbfounded.  But when I rummaged through my stuff, I saw the old PRIMA paintables (remember them?) and *ting* it just hits me!  I painted the Prima paintables with Twinkling H2O by LuminArte (loved the glitter and gloss in them), cut the images and outlined them with my black pen.  Tadaa…

OUR DREAM:

Very tattoo-ish but with my usual romantic, feminine and shabby chic-ness, right?

I’m glad Gaby enjoys going to school.  She’s now in Grade 5 and she’s having a blast inspite of the many assignments, tests and projects she has to do, all by herself.

I forgot to scrap her class pictures after doing her Grade 1 class photo and just remembered it now when the September products of Cherry Nest are  Back-to-School theme.   Here’s her Grade 2 class picture:
