Week 37: Towards my 500th mark…

…on scrapbooking, that is! Actually, I’m just estimating that I am on my 500th page already! That’s after 7 years of “real” scrapbooking and I’m just on my 500th mark?!? A slow one I bet but I’m good and proud! What with working full time, being a part-time wife and mom hahaha (kidding), a voracious reader, a couch potato, a mall rat…I can’t believe I’ve juggled all of them and came up with those number of pages, huh!

So here’s my guesstimated 500th layout…

Journal: Sweet & spunky, that’s what you are, Alexa. Everytime you show it, makes you so endearing!

Materials Used: Papers-Scenic Route, October Afternoon, American Crafts, Basic Grey; Chipboards-Pink Paislee, Sassafras, Buzz&Bloom, local; Ribbons-Prima; Flowers-Prima, Heidi Swapp; Paint-Making Memories; Glitter-Doodle bug, Ranger’s Stickles; Doily-Wilton; Mesh-Magic Mesh; Journalling note-Making Memories; Die Cut-Tim Holtz bird cage; Rub-ons-Basic Grey, SEI; Others-local button & bling, Prima epoxy sticker.

Here’s to another 500 pages in the next 5 years…whoa!

Happy Birthday Gaby!

10 years ago, this little lady made one of my wishes come true! I’m truly grateful that God blessed me with such a beautiful soul.

I wish my first Princess all the good things in life…good health, good fortune, happiness and love always! I love you lots, Gab!

Week 36: Joanne’s in town!

Our Australia-based friend, Joanne, is back in town for a month long vacation. But we can’t wait to see her so within 24-hours from her arrival, we met and had a grand time with the rest of the gang! It was such a good night filled with good food and good laugh…yes, everything good!

Thanks to this warm-hearted soul, I was able to unearth my creative me. It was her insistence and encouragement that I got into scrapbooking in 2003. I was reluctant at first, but it just took a couple of pushes and shoves and I got hooked with this hobby, all line and sinker.

Revealing some of the pages from my first decent scrapbook album made 7 years ago…

One of my first pages in 2003!

Back in year 2003-2004, a 2-page layout was the way to go!

After this, as the say, is history…now working towards my 500th page (and I’m a slow scrapper at that!)

Thanks again my dear friend Joanini, looking forward to more decades of friendship!

Week 35: ‘Ber months

It’s September and it’s starting to feel like Christmas!  Yes,  I hear  Christmas songs as early as now, you know here in the Philippines, this season is celebrated the earliest and the longest.  But I’m now feeling it because I always find myself  thinking of what to gift my family and friends these past few days.    If  only I have an unlimited budget,  I want to be Santa and give everybody the nicest gift ever!

Speaking of Christmas, here’s a page of one of my favorite photos of Alexa during our Christmas family shoot last year.

Used some MME Christmas papers and diecuts I won from Magazine last year and so relieved that I got to use a very old jelly Christmas embellishment!

Anyhoo, I’m looking forward to have our Christmas family photos taken this year! Yes, it’s starting to feel like Christmas!

Week 31-34: Produce from Adobo Day!

I’m so lax in blogging I now can’t remember what happened with my life on weeks 31 to 34 (must do for my Project 52). Blame it on FB, yes? YES! So instead of wracking my tired brains or creatively blogging about it, I’ll just share these un-posted layouts I made using mostly Prima and Buzz & Bloom stuff…

My eldest during her 8th birthday party in 2007. She’s a lot taller now, geesh, I’m getting old!

My youngest princess, Alexa, who was so curious with the Christmas tree decors and lights she can’t stop herself from staring and touching them!

Alexa, playing with her stroller umbrella. Luuuvv this page! Got the over-all feel of this layout from Pia‘s.

Thanks to my pretty amigas, Iris and Bjay, DT members of Prima and Buzz&Bloom, respectively. They brought and shared scrapbook goodies during our annual ADOBO cum scrap day held last June. One of the perks of having uber talented and generous scrap buddies, we get to play with the products they are working with for free! God bless them more!
