Disney Adventures

Standard

There are so many attractions that await you in Disney, there are rides that will give you thrills and excitement and to say that  my eldest girl loved all of them is an understatement!  Here are the layouts I made recording the fun rides we experienced:

MAD HATTER’S TEA CUP (first ride we had):

FLYING DUMBO (for toddlers really but hey, we enjoyed it!):

ASTRO BLASTERS-BUZZ LIGHTYEAR (Gaby’s favorite, we went twice, my head hurts) :

ORBIT RIDE (AND SOME ATTRACTIONS IN TOMORROWLAND):

THE MANY ADVENTURES OF WINNIE THE POOH:

Incidentally, this last page (Pooh’s Adventures) is my take on TRUE XOXO’s February Challenge.  Please get messy with your mists,  paints, glitter and what have you’s and join in the fun!  You have until the end of the month to submit your entry/ies!  Thanks!

Street Art

Standard

I think a lot of people who went to HK Disney missed this incredible and creative man on the streets of Disneyland.  He used his sweeper and some water to create and draw the faces of Disney characters..  Amazing STREET ART!

Made this during my friend, Ria’s, birthday celebration last year.  Materials used here were the yummy scrap stuff she let us devour during that fun day!  Looking forward to more “scrappy-days-out” with my fun-filled and talented scrap buddies this year.

One of the “must haves” in going to Disneyland is to have an autograph book.   Aside from the photo-op you do with the Disney characters, a great souvenir is to have their autograph signatures.  Gaby brought this perfect booklet for it:

Gaby was able to have these signatures:

…from Daisy Duck, Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Belle (Beauty & the Beast), Pluto…

… White Rabbit, Stitch, Chip & Dale (Chipmunks)…

…Goofy and of course, Mickey!

And here’s a lay-out I made to record the characters’ autograph signing…

PLS SIGN:

How about you?  Did you do this when you were in Disney?

Lion King

Standard

A  “Must-See”  when you go to any Disney Park.  The production is just breathtaking even if it’s a short one, of course, compared to the real and actual Broadway musical play.   We were glad that somebody told us not to miss it.   Even though I got blurred photos, I need to scrap them just so I can relive the experience.

LION KING:

Materials Used: Papers-K&CO; Diecut stickers-BG; chipboard-AC & Buzz&Bloom; Others-MM paint, Ranger’s emboss powder,AL & local buttons and paper twill.

More HK Disney pages in the coming weeks, promise (indulge me please and don’t get fed up with them teehee!)

(Part 2) Hong Kong Disneyland…

Standard

As promised, here are the other lay-outs I made for our Hong Kong Disneyland trip album.

First off  is this  double page about the  Disney Parade which we enjoyed so much…

DISNEY PARADE (page 1):

DISNEY PARADE (page 2):

Full 2-page spread…

The rest of this post would be about our meeting the Disney characters mostly during our buffet breakfast at Enchanted Garden at the grand Disneyland Hotel…

HELLO MICKEY!  (pardon for reposting…showed this already in my previous post ;o)

Both the young and the adult were excited to meet Mickey!

Nice to have  double pages  in my album (such a challenge really)  which also look fine separately, don’t you think?

This was my take on this month’s XOXO challenge, I’m posting it again in case you missed it! ;o)…You have until end of the month to scraplift this particular lay-out..

MEETING MS. DAISY:

Happiness in meeting Goofy!

GOOFY-NESS:

Loved how these 2 layouts on Pluto turned out…Pluto was so funny!

PLUTO:

CRAZY DOG:

Pluto goofing with Gaby…

STITCH ENCOUNTER:

Hopefully, I can share the last batch of our 2-day adventure soon.  I just need to finish a few more pages though.  Or better yet, I’ll just post one page at a time so that my blog gets to be updated often ;o)…(blame it on FB ;o)

Thanks for looking!

(Part 1) Hong Kong Disneyland….

Standard

…brought the child in me.   I can see that my 60+ year old parents enjoyed it too…my eldest, most especially, you bet!  It is indeed the happiest place on earth!

We went there last January 2010 and I want to go back again and again and again (yeah, that redundant!)   Maybe, next year with hubby, Alexa and again, Gaby, of course (cross-fingers).

I thank God for scrapbooking because I can record our  momentous vacation in a very creative way.  Reliving the experience makes it still magical!  The Disney scrapbook album (of 20 pages)  took me more than a year to fill up …take note, “fill up” because it’s not yet done!  *sigh*  I still have to add more pages into it.   There are still a lot of photos of our  experience and memories to  scrapbook  that a 20-page album won’t really do.

But because I’m too excited not to share the pages I finished, here’s PART 1 of the album.

Enjoy!

READY FOR FUN

(one of the most photographed spots in the Park is…uum…the Welcome Arch?)

FUN-TAIN!

(a few meters away is the Mickey {or Disney}  fountain…still one of the most photographed spots, I’m sure!)

WE’RE IN!:

(Inside the ticketbooth and main gate is Mickey made of blooming flowers and greens!)

SWEET MICKEY’S HEAD:

(Gaby enjoyed this ice cream treat!)

CHIP & DALE:

(Meeting the cute chipmunks!)

HER CASTLE:

(In front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle!)

MEETING THE PRINCESSES:

(Although Gaby is not really a girly-girl, she’s still into princesses.  She was so excited to meet Princess Aurora and Princess Belle.)

CAROUSEL:

(Bonding moment with my own princess…)

TRAIN RIDE:

(Too bad we did not catch the round trip fare…we have to alight at  the train station on the other side of the park and line up again!)

THE GANG in 4D:

(Disney in 4D was one of the most memorable and fun cartoon shows for the young and the young at heart!)

So there, my first part of our Disney album.  Part 2 will be posted soon.  I’m sure there’ll be Part 3 because I still have at least 8 pages to finish.  Arrgh!
