Week 30: First Grade

Standard

Our eldest is now in 4th Grade and she has become more independent, thank God! (Both hubby and I really dread tutoring, we’re both full time working parents and tutoring has never become a bonding moment for us— but a quarrel match —more of me or the hubby shouting and her crying, yes, poor baby!)

We no longer check her assignments regularly and review her during mastery tests that come before the long periodical tests. With the latter, we just make mock tests for subjects we deemed need attention like Math and Science. For the rest, we trust her to study by herself and do good with the exams. We’re quite proud that she already has a study habit and she’s smart enough not to have failing grades hahaha talk about our mediocre standard! But we know she can excel and have high grades and be an honor student if we just have time to make her focus and be with her during her study time. Oh well, life is not all about grades anyway!

So after so much preamble, I just want to share with you the layout on her First Grade class picture I made a month ago having put into good use my old scrapbook stuff.

GRADE 1:

This makes me remember that I have a few more pages to do to complete her Pre-school album! *sigh*

And also makes me dread when Alexa goes to pre-school in a few months! *another sigh*
