Our Little Sassy Charmer!

My youngest is quite a charmer!  She’s always ready with her sunny smile and quick to give her hearty laugh.   But don’t be fooled, she also has a strong, sassy personality and likes to get her way all the time.    I  can see that she will go places while  wrapping everyone in her cute little fingers.  So I say, beware,  she can melt your hearts over and over.

Photos in both LOs are taken  during our Valentine celebration in Tagaytay.

I made this during our Welcome party for a dear friend from down-under, Joanne (she’s the reason why I got so addicted to this hobby) last April.  She and her whole family were here for a month long vacation.   The girls had fun scrapping, eating, chatting the day away…

Little Charmer

Journalling:   With your bright eyes, ready & sunny smile and your sassy personality…you’re no doubt our one little charmer! You’ll melt their hearts over and over, for sure!

Materials Used: DCWV,  Fabriano cardstock; Sassafrass patterned paper; Chatterbox blings (thanks Pia!);  Scrapworks fabric alpha stickers;  MM alpha stickers; mesh stamp; pink ink

After our lunch at Josephine’s Restaurant, we had some photo-ops at their (Taal volcano) viewing garden.   Apparently, there’s  a  wedding ceremony in a few hours, thus, the red carpet and all.   Alexa had fun practicing walking down the aisle and when we let her go, she just sprawled herself and gave us a big smile.    Good thing I had the camera with me (and not with hubby or else!)!  Can’t miss this chance, can I?

Sassy Girl

Journalling:  I can see that you are destined to walk down the red carpet.  No, you just didn’t walk the first time you saw one,  you went down your knees and sprawled yourself while beaming at us.   Such a character, my sassy, sunny, girl!

Materials Used:  Fancy Pants, Sassafrass, Urban Lily,  October Afternoon patterned papers;  Heidi Swapp alpha chipboard; Ranger stickles; Shabby Princess-Festival Journalling spot;

Lucky…a post Mother’s Day LO!

A layout about the 2 most important women in my and hubby’s life…our mothers!   They make heaven on earth possible!

This was entered in PS Kaya 25-1.   Lady in black is my mom while the beautiful lady in Orange/Pink Pina gown is my mother-in-law.

Journalling:  Oliver and I are so lucky to have you as our mom! We are doubly lucky that we get along with each other really well. Thank you for everything! We love you so much! (Taken on Nov. 11, 2001 during Ate Ren’s wedding.)

Materials Used:
DCWV Cardstock; Prima flowers and ribbons; AC thickers and stickers; local fabric, blings, ric-rac & lace; Old diary/planner for the journaling note; Digital Element from Cheri Ward.

Our baby is becoming a lady

…no, no, not quite…

This beautiful photo (taken by Jeff  during Gaby’s 7th birthday party last 2007) reminds us that our firstborn will soon be a young lady.    Time do fly fast I know and before we know it, she would have a life of her own.  It’s starting to happen now, I think (waaah), she no longer wants to tag along with us, she prefers to stay home and just listen to Taylor Swift’s  or Jonas Brothers’ songs.  But, I won’t panic because she still hates to have her hair done nor wear her earrings,  still asks a good reason for her to wear a dress,  still clueless about boys and  crushes, still whines like a baby and clings like a vine.  No, my Gaby is not quite a lady (yet)!

Not quite a LADY yet

Journalling: Gaby is far from being called a (young) lady.  Not with her childish behavior, tomboyish manner, a cry-baby and a whiner at that!   Nope!  She’s not quite a lady (yet)!  It does not matter anyway, to me, she’ll always be a baby!  Forever!

Santa Babe is here

…albeit reluctantly!

Here’s another Christmas lay-out for Alexa taken last December.  She was not that fond of the Santa hat we all were wearing.  When it was time to let her wear it, she cringed and just refused to wear it!  Hay, stage-mom’s plan didn’t work at all!  I was hoping to get happy santa babe photos pa naman ;o(  Nevertheless, she’s still cute, isn’t she?! (sige na, pagbigyan ang ina!)

Santa Babe

Journalling:  We decided that you’ll make a cute Santa Babe.  But when we tried putting the hat on, you cringed and refused to wear it.  Oh well, you’re still our Santa babe, a reluctant one, that is!

Materials Used:  PPs-Crate Paper, MME, Chatterbox;  CS-DCWV;  Chipboard-Heidi Swapp, MM, Fancy Pants; Alpha stickers-MM;  AC Thickers; Acrylic Paint-MM; Local blings, felt shape.

Alexa’s Guestbook

I’d like to share with you the guestbook I made for Alexa’s first birthday party last year.   Used free digital elements from Shabby Princess, Rhona Farrer and 2peas.   Spent several sleepless nights making the digital pages and when finished, I have it printed in small size (so I can include it in the scrapbook album I have YET to make) at PictureBooks in Glorietta.   Love it!

Picture/s of Alexa in a 2-page spread per month of her first year of life. . .

This was done last year, I hope I still have the will to do Alexa’s baptism/Gaby’s 7th bday digital scrapbook album as originally planned.  A friend vacationing in the US is just waiting for me to upload it in blurb so she can bring it home for me in July.  Wish me luck!

My Everyday Santa

Even though most of our children know who Santa is (not the real one, silly), don’t you agree that to them, their everyday Santa is still their Daddy?

Journalling/Title: My Dad is my everyday Santa!

Materials Used: PATTERNED PAPERS-Basic Grey, 7gypsies, October Afternoon, Daisy D’s, Urban Lily; CHIPBOARDS-Heidi Swapp, Maya Road, AC; FLOWERS-Prima; FELT-Fancy Pants; ACRYLIC PAINT-Semco; BRADS-Joann, MM; RUB ONS-Craft Express, MM; OTHERS-Ranger stickles, Karen Foster Floss, Joann bookplate and local ribbons, blings, ric rac, etc.

I don’t remember telling Gaby stories about Santa before but since she received gifts from him, year in and year out, she already had a concept of who he is by the age of 3. For Alexa, I’m sure my Gaby would help me introduce Santa to her. In the meantime, let their Daddy be their everyday Santa still.

My Wish for You

I’m trying to finish all my pending Christmas photos but I don’t think it will happen soon because I still have a few more stashed somewhere.  Photos here were taken during our wedding anniversary lunch date last December.   Since Gaby was in school, only Alexa got to tag along with us, hence, these Christmas photos with Alexa alone.   I promised to be back after a week or two to have a decent Christmas family photos but we weren’t able to.  Hopefully this year, it’ll happen.

I wish you happiness and joy, good health and good fortune.

A good life and a kind heart so you could be a blessing to others.

May you be surrounded by people who accept and love you unconditionally.

Strength and courage to reach for your dreams.

And faith in God so you will always believe.
