Featured Layout in 2peas!

Standard

I was pleasantly surprised when my good friend Liza posted in our egroup that my “First Joy Ride” Lay-out was picked as featured lay-out of the day at 2peas yesterday.   Who would have thought that a rushed LO done last year (but posted in 2 peas last Thurs) would be noticed.

Didn’t I tell you that it’s my second time? The first was this lay-out.

This small feat is like a major accomplishment to a humble scrapbooker like mwah *hihihi*

New Look

Standard

Do you like this look better or the pink one?  Let me know.  This is a default theme so I’m still learning how to change some colors (that is, if allowed).

Might still change it…so bear with me…the blog and the author are still work-in-progress… (forever?!).

Hope not.

Valentine in March

Standard

Here’s a post-Valentine lay-out I made for hubby and I.  The photos  were supposed to be used for PS Kaya 22 but I didn’t make it to the deadline.   Aside from having a crunch time, I can’t seem to decide what song to use.   Anyway, I like how this turned out…silly and sweet!

YOU & ME (forever…always)

Journalling:  A little silly…sometimes crazy…sometimes impatient…but always in love.

By the way,  the photos were taken during a friend’s wedding last September ’08.  This mobile photo-booth is the hottest trend now for wedding souvenirs.  They print double and give 1 set to the couple so they have their own copies of the guests’ photos too.  Cool!  Wish it was uso during our wedding 10 years ago ;o).

I’m in PageMaps!

Standard

I was so thrilled when I received an email from Mareng Becky (Fleck) of the famous PageMaps asking me to be one of the contributors in her March newsletter  and sketches .    Of course, I excitedly accepted even though a bit  apprehensive as it has been a long time since I followed a sketch.

Here’s the sketch that was assigned to me:

Decided to rotate the sketch to the right and use this:

 So here’s my take:

(Materials Used:  Basic Grey, MME, October Afternoon, Tinkering Ink-PAPERS; Prima, Heidi Swapp, American Crafts-FLOWERS;  American Crafts velvet THICKERS;  Prima, MME JOURNALLING TAGS; Ranger ACRYLIC PAINT; Ranger STICKLES; Local glittered alpha CHIPBOARD, BUTTON, LACE, BLINGS)

(Journalling:   I often wonder how come such a pure beauty like you come from an imperfect one like me?It must indeed be God’s pure & perfect love.  As you grow old, may your beauty shine and touch people’s lives.  Remember though, that beauty is never skin-deep and superficial, it is what you are inside that transcends what is truly and purely beautiful.)

Glad I found the perfect photos to go with it.  These were taken during our long  holiday in Boracay last Dec/Jan.  Gaby was trying to build a sandcastle here while I was busy snapping some shots of the island’s beauty.   I found the most beautiful in her with those angles.   Don’t you agree?

Hope you will try the sketch too.  It’s so easy and  fun to do.  I will have to refer to Becky’s sketches more often now for inspiration, that’s for sure!
